I have
lived a life of creative endeavors. This chapter began in 1995 when I
treated a friend to a wire class at the local bead store. She finished the
class and went home. I went back for another class and another, and thus
began my love affair with wire and beads. My wire skills were honed by
Linda Lemoine-Vios and Lynne Merchant.
A wire
teacher since 1999, I bring to my teaching a broad base of skills including
those of a certified trainer for Starbucks and a manager with the
responsibility developing employees in my various work assignments. These
roles help me to be effective teaching adults.
I have
taught for The Orange County Bead Society, Pasadena Bead Company, San
Gabriel Bead Company,
Creative
Castle
and the Canyon Country Fiber Guild. Most recently I was accepted to teach
at Bead & Button and Bead Expo. I teach a full schedule of wire work from the basics to
several technique classes and various project classes along with a business
class to pass along skills I have developed in other parts of my life. I
fill classes and end with complements, but the loudest endorsement of my
classes is the high percent of repeat students.
My
love for the art of wire and beads is followed closely by my love of
teaching. Introducing others to the use of these wonderful materials so
they can begin a creative adventure of their own is a meaningful job, one I
enjoy doing. |
