Each petal of this flower (with its own language) is stitched in double drop peyote stitch, with increases and decreases in the flat surface. This makes the petals curve and gives the rose its lifelikeness. Then they are stitched to a beaded base. The base covered with the calyx and finished with a stem in Ndebele (herringbone) stitch and Russian leaves.
