I have always been
fascinated with jellyfish. These amazing creatures of the sea move with
the currants of the ocean with their long graceful tentacles drifting
beneath them. When I saw a large group of jellyfish floating past the
boat I was in, it almost seemed like each one was connected to the next
one by their tentacles. This formation of the drifting jellyfish is what
gave me the inspiration for the necklace. I have named the necklace
after a type of jellyfish called “Sea Nettles”.
Pearls and crystals are woven together to create oblong beads. These
oblong beads are connected together with long strands of seed beads,
pearls and crystals to make the necklace strand. The center piece of the
necklace has a large three dimensional diamond shaped pendant
constructed with pearls and round crystals. The closure at the end of
the necklace is a lovely flat button made up of seed beads and pearls. A
loop of beads slips over the button to secure the necklace around your
neck. The necklace has a fluid feel to it and drapes beautifully around
the neck. |
