Capture a flat back cabochon stone in an elegant wire setting as you
learn the basics of wire wrapping. This technique teaches you to study
and showcase your stone; create a bail; and accent the work with hand
forged embellishments. The finished project can be slipped onto a chain
or with a bit of imagination, become the focal for a stylish necklace.
For your first project select an oval or round cabochon; stone options
discussed in class will enable you to translate the technique to more
complex cabochon shapes. |
