The bees are stitched in tubular and
diagonal peyote stitch. Working this insect in size 15 seed beads
makes this project challenging, but the bees very lifelike.
The honeycomb itself is a variation on the right angle weave stitch,
a very versatile stitch. Each chamber has five rows of beads on top
of each other which give the honeycomb its depth.
(I advice to stitch the first bee in size 11 beads. This makes
stitching it in 15’s a lot easier)
