A workshop so much fun it had to
be a two day class. Bead work and florals seem to work
amazingly well together. In this hands on workshop we will
explore the different sculpted
designs in beaded flowers, with the instructions,suggestions
and your own creativity you will recreate recreate one of
the flowers I stitched or you can design your own. This
workshop is intended for intermediate beaders who have
knowledge of the basic stitches and would like a
challenge to learn how to use them in a three dimensional
floral projects.
What I would like you to do is
take some time on your computer or in the library and find
yourself some images of flowers and take a look at all the
parts a flower is made of. Find yourself the flowers you
find most interesting and take a close look at them, from
all sides, buy yourself some flowers put them in a vase and
let them stand until all the petals fall of and just take
some time to see them every now and again. Also look at how
other designers have used florals in their designs, and most
importantly, enjoy the
process, this is feeding the artist inside you.
In this class we will use any and all techniques you have in
your repertoire, and we might add some, so bring a reference
book or something to help you with all those stitches you
once used but have forgotten about. |
