Peyote

The look of spiky sea urchins can be created with “dagger” beads which are attached to a double cord base. In this versatile class, students will learn: how to create a template of foam core board sized to fit and useful for constructing other necklaces; how to sew and shape a cord base to which focal beads, pins or earrings may be attached; how to create “flowers” with dagger beads and how to assemble and finish the necklace. A shaped cord base is desirable because it lays flat and comfortably around the neck. Bonus: A similar technique which can be used to make a bracelet will be included in the instructions.
