Description:

Tubular polygon stitch is another of the innovative beadweaving techniques that originated in South Africa. This particular stitch has been traced to the Msinga District of KwaZulu Natal. Introduced by Valerie Hector in Ornament Magazine, there are many possibilities of how to work up this fun stitch. In class, we will use 3 sizes of wooden dowels in order to learn at least 3 variations of tubular polygon weave. Each of these samples can be lengthened in order to make a 3-strand necklace.
